ALEIDA CASTILLO is Sykes Global Communications’ direct liaison to M/WBEs (Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises).
A community and government affairs specialist, Aleida guides counties and municipalities in creating, structuring and streamlining programs which facilitate and promote the growth of businesses owned and operated by minority and women entrepreneurs. She consults in the development of several city zoning boards, and assists small businesses and education based organizations in increasing their reach and engagement through grassroots marketing and media production. Her breadth of expertise spans various industries to create unique ways to help proprietors increase their public profiles and engage in the communities they serve.
Aleida has been a close advisor to the campaigns of several well-known political candidates throughout New York State. Her public relations and business development work has been sought after by NGOs, corporations and governments for her ability to 'connect the dots" in difficult and complicated scenarios and bring win-win solutions where others may not find them. She has over 15 years of experience in development with organizations such as the Mount Vernon Democratic Party Committee, the Women’s Federation for World Peace, the Ghana Musician’s Union, Ghana’s PANAFEST Foundation (Pan African Theater Festival), Ashley Furniture Industries, and the Disciples of Christ Church.
A childcare advocate, Aleida owns and operates her own educational programs, which specialize in daycare services centered around arts and music. She is also a consultant in expanding the educational programs of Civically Re-Engaged Women (CREW), a national non-profit organization providing women’s education and training with a political focus.
Aleida is the proud mother of three children.
